Fran, a
"senior" client came in the other day. She's lovin' her natural salt
and pepper hair color - only there's a lot of salt these days. Fran
asked what could be done. She didn't want a whole head process of
color. She said she did that years ago as DIY, didn't like it and had a burning
and itchy scalp. She's really happy with the blending of her natural
shades. Fran also was concerned about exposure to chemicals in hair
color products.
I suggested adding "low lights" where color is applied to random strands of
hair and there is no contact by the solution with the scalp. The foil
leaves protect the scalp. And I'd use my organic color product. We
tried it and Fran is now lovin' her low salt/more pepper look. Even
better - as time goes by the look will improve as color is applied to
different strands and the already colored strands fade back to their
original color. The blending that Fran likes only gets better.
Another satisfied client.
Maybe "low lights" is the right coloring option to you, too.
